The course aims to cover what dyslexia is, how it presents in the classroom, and the characteristics of learners with dyslexia, using clear and accessible language. Participants will be able to articulate a clear and reliable definition of dyslexia and recognize symptoms within their learner profiles.

STRUCTURED LITERACY THE CORE OF SCIENCE OF READING!

The central core of a healthy Science of Reading aligned literacy classroom is a reliable and effective Structured Literacy practice. This course will introduce participants to the principles of Structured Literacy, as an Orton Gillingham methodology, and, // as both a core and supplemental curricular tool. Content will be modeled and practiced so that participants will be able to implement commercially available tools with understanding and

PHONEMIC AWARENESS PHUNI

This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of foundational literacy skills by exploring phonemic awareness development through strategic, multisensory and engaging Instruction. The course offers educators the opportunity to examine and practice systematic phonological and phonemic awareness lessons, a range of multimodal supplemental resources, as well as guidance in data collection in order to effectively implement small group instruction.
