LCSW and Manager of Behavior Support Services
Mrs. Bosak is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 25 years of experience with children, adolescents, and their families.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Marist College and began her social work career as a caseworker in the foster care system. At that time, she realized the importance of offering mental health services to children so she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University.
For the next 20 years, she worked in a small practice with children of all ages, from all different backgrounds and situations; working closely with the Department of Social Services, Family Court, schools, and local pediatricians. In August of 2020, Mrs. Bosak was thrilled to bring mental health services to the DaVinci Collaborative.
Her approach is eclectic; utilizing components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Play Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness, based on the unique needs of the individual. She assists clients in developing coping skills for problems related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, family discord, social skills issues, grief, as well as assisting those who have a history of trauma. A strong component of her work is assisting parents with developing positive skills to manage their children’s behavioral or emotional issues.
