Danielle Cappellino is an educational tutor and consultant at DaVinci Education and Research. She joined the DaVinci team in 2016 after working as a permanent substitute teacher in the Kings Park school district for nine years. She taught sixth grade for a decade in the NYC Public School system and holds NYS certifications in Early Childhood Education as well as Elementary Education.
Danielle has experience teaching students of all ages in a variety of educational settings from preschool to high school content-areas. As a strong proponent of literacy, Danielle taught English as a second language to adults and has also served as a study skills specialist to at-risk students. Danielle is trained in a multitude of Orton-Gillingham language based programs, metacognitive comprehension, content literacy instruction, and multisensory mathematics instruction.
She loves working with children of all ages and believes education is most successful when teachers and students grow and learn together. In her spare time, Danielle loves to spend time with family and friends and is an ardent supporter of rescue dogs.
